At River Brook, the team hosted a lively World Cup-themed garden party and sports day where residents and relatives enjoyed delicious food, classic games, music, and a raffle, alongside a relaxed coffee morning for loved ones.
Jasmine Court took residents on an immersive journey with their Through the Decades and Around the World travel day, featuring passports, boarding passes, and destination displays, before continuing with a Route 66 motoring theme that culminated in a spectacular courtyard visit from five classic cars.
Scottish pride was on full display at Craigend Gardens, where residents baked traditional empire biscuits decorated like the Saltire flag for a Kick Off Tea Party, later welcoming local nursery children for an afternoon of intergenerational singing and bubble games.
The power of reminiscence took centre stage at Haslingden Hall through their nostalgic 1966 campaign, which inspired resident Shirley to share the beautiful story of meeting the love of her life that very same year.
Kingsley complemented this reflective atmosphere with a peaceful morning of World Cup arts, crafts, and football literature, allowing residents to discuss their favourite historical players and matches in a calm, creative environment.
The Glen kicked off their week by welcoming the Mayor and Mayoress of Lancaster, Councillor Colin Hartley and Jean, for an emotional tour of their nursing and dementia suites, followed by an elegant afternoon tea where residents Sheila and Mary shared fond memories of growing up in the local Morecambe and Lancaster areas.
