Nursing Care

Who needs Nursing Care?

Nursing care is suited to those individuals who have medical needs in addition to personal living needs. Our homes provide a purpose-built environment where you have the on-site support, 24 hours a day, of registered nurses. In our nursing homes you receive the same level of personal care as you would in a residential home, with the added support of having registered nurses on hand 24 hours a day to assist with your medical needs.

Our dedicated nursing team at each home can assist those individuals with medical conditions which cannot be cared for at home. Our goal remains the same – to ensure that you can maintain your independence for as long as possible – but in the setting where you have on-site support from registered professionals.  All our nursing and care staff have received dementia training, with each home having a dementia champion, and so our nursing homes are also able to deliver care to individuals suffering from dementia.

Our Approach

Amicura’s approach to nursing care ensures that we try and maintain your independence for as long as possible. Our main goal is to provide a homely, secure setting where you feel comfortable. You will have the support of our dedicated care and nursing team who will provide tailored care 24-hours a day.

Before admission, our qualified team will undertake an assessment of your needs as well as gain a detailed life history, including your likes and dislikes, so that we can create a personalised care plan for you. This will be updated daily ensuring a tailored service from admission.

Testimonials

“My aunt has been here for several months now and the standard of care is excellent. The home is nothing without the wonderful staff who stop at nothing to ensure everyone is cared for, comfortable and that relatives are kept well informed. ”

Kath K Niece of Resident

“The care home has been amazing with our mum and with us. Always helpful in any way they can to help us look after Mum, especially in this very hard time that we have all experienced.”

Angela C Daughter of Resident

“Having lost my legs in 2004, I spent many years in a nursing home and warden-controlled complex, then I was taken ill and in hospital for a short while. Just under two years ago, I was sent here to Harmony House now aged 75 – I would not want to live anywhere else”
