Kingfisher care home is a beautiful purpose built home located in North Shields, near the scenic Tynemouth seaside and landmarks like the historic Tynemouth Priory & Castle. The home is set within a residential neighborhood with close links to the local community. Kingfisher provides a flexible range of care services including nursing, residential, dementia, respite and palliative care with the understanding that the needs of your loved one might change over their time with us.
The purpose built home has 50 en-suite rooms together with a range of relaxation spaces including lounges, dining rooms and family bistro facilities providing a selection of spaces for residents to watch television, listen to music or read.
Outside, the home provides wrap-around landscaped gardens for residents to relax on warmer days It also has its own hairdressing and nail salon for residents to enjoy a treatment.
The committed team of staff place emphasis on resident well-being, going above and beyond to ensure each resident’s needs are met. The dedicated activities team tailors activities for each resident taking into account likes, dislikes and previous hobbies. For those residents who are bed bound, one to one activities will be provided in their own rooms.
